Christmas in KL, Malaysia

Just got back from our Christmas vacation in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. As promised I'm writing a blog about our adventure. By the way, I have booked our flight since September after our Kota Kinabalu Anniversary Trip. Got our Cebu Pacific Tickets for Php16k for me, hubby and kid.

Our flight schedule was supposedly at 8:40 PM but it was delayed for almost 2 hours., oh well, good thing that NAIA Terminal 3 has a free wifi service.. Hubby and I played Pinoy Henyo with my Galaxy Mini. At 11:00PM we departed NAIA and arrived at Kuala Lumpur passed 2 AM of Dec 23rd.

From LCCT we headed to the Bus Terminal and since we arrived late, we waited another 1.5hours for the next Aero Bus. This bus is scheduled to leave and arrive KL sentral to LCCT and vice versa every 30 minutes. But this will have a 2-hour interval from 2:30 AM to 4AM. Ticket is only 8RM/adult and 2RM/child, the travel took us 45 minutes. Fast lah.. :) From KL Sentral we rode a taxi to Double Tree by Hilton and cost us 20RM. (I tell you the taxi rates in KL are crazy).

We checked in around 5am and the reception told us that they will charge us for NO SHOW on the previous day but hubby said that he indicated on our booking that we will be arriving late since our flight is in the midnight so there should be no problem with that.

Here are some of the pictures of the room.

now you see him...

now you don't.. :)

Day 1 (23-Dec):

We started our KL experience with a filling Breakfast at Makan Kitchen 11/F of our Hotel. They have a wide array of cuisines from Western to Chinese, Indian and of course Malay foods...

The Hotel offered a service to KLCC. We Saved 10 RM for the taxi :).  By the way KLCC is just a stone throw away from the Double Tree. It may take us 10-15 minutes by foot but it is not advisable since we are travelling with our 5yo son.

Some photos with the Twin Towers:

I have planned to ride the Hop in Hop Out (HOHO) Bus on our 1st Day. This bus roams around KL City featuring nearby tourist destinations.

We alighted in front of the Fahrenheit Mall in Bukit Bintang. We really enjoyed our photo shoot at the Pavilion. Christmas decorations are really awesome!!!!

Also visited Low Yat Plaza for the cheap gadgets and accessories.

Got these 2 gadget cases for my Ipad2 and camera.

Ipad2 case : RM85 haggled for RM50
Canon s95 case: RM40 and I asked for a free screen protector since they cannot give a discount. Other stores sell this for RM50 though.

Went back to the Bus Stop and Continued with our HOHO tour.

Beautiful scenes from the HOHO view deck. Petronas Twin Towers at the back.
