Staycation at the Crimson Hotel 3

1st and 2nd installment of this blog story here and here.

The idea of this booking was actually because we wanted to have steak for dinner. One Sunday, we suddenly talked about the steak we had the past week and wanted to have it again but this time with my Father-in-law. So ok, we checked some blogs and reviews on the net and found Café Eight. The dinner buffet was so appealing that me and hubby decided to book and stay for the long weekend.

Dinner Buffet

So there, all set. Fight!

Café Eight is the main restaurant of Crimson Hotel. They serve buffet lunch and dinner and complimentary breakfast everyday.

They served Lechon Pork Belly for the buffet dinner... No roast beef? :(

Here's the pasta station. You can make your own pasta here, just ask the friendly Chef and they will gladly cook for you. I had cheesy Seafood Marina and it was good.

This is their Chinese station, JP requested for Yang Chow fried rice. Yum! You can also ask Chef to make pancit canton/bihon for you.

This is the main course area. Hubby had beef Caldereta and pork. I saw Ox tripe Kare-kare and some Malaysian chicken curry too.

Tried some sushi and they made Kani Salad for me per request.

Some sweets... Leche flan, cookies, ice cream, cake, churros and pudding too.

Unlimited wine and juices were served.

In my honest opinion, I expected more for its price Php 1,700/head. I expected more on the carving station, more seafood or some grilled salmon/fish. I was looking for something more special on the buffet table considering its price. I'm quite disappointed but nevertheless, my son loved the dessert station, salad and fruits.

Breakfast Buffet

Let's give Café Eight a chance. Breakfast maybe different. Most of the time, breakfast is more bongga because it is complimentary. Everyone who checks in will eat breakfast. Everyone will have their impression / opinion, so I think gagalingan nila this time.

Cereals selection...
 Bread.

This is the fried rice station..

Egg.

Honestly, the breakfast is way better than the dinner buffet. We had salads, fruits, longganisa, bacons adobo, champorado, congee, mixed vegies, potato wedges to name a few. Surprisingly there is a variety of dishes to choose from. Even my FIL said that this time is better than last night.

 It was a feast.

We were all full and satisfied. Much to our surprise, we didn't pay for extra heads. The Manager explained that it was for the inconvenience of having the restaurant crowded and that the food were not refilled quickly. We didn't notice the void, but Thank You! It was a great experience.

Some few shots before checking out.

Still have some work to do.

Some cuddles to make.

Some beer and movie to finish.

Any plans? Realizations? lol

Spending time with the family is always the best time. Thank you Crimson Hotel for that quick school and work break. Thank you for the room upgrade, complimentary snacks and drinks and great experience. We surely had fun!

Are we coming back soon? Of course!
