Yiu fai Guesthouse
I have friends who've been to HK this past months and most of them suggested to stay in Kowloon side preferrably in Tsim Sha Tsui. I didn't do much research on where to stay since they said that there are lots of guesthouses along Nathan Rd. Came December and we are yet to decide where to stay. I had Golden Crown, Hop inn, Chung king mansion, Miramar Mansion, Taisan and Yiu Fai Guesthouse on my list but no time to contact them.
I tried to book and contact several guesthouses and did not get any feedback from them. I also contacted ate Yolly of Taisan Guesthouse and she said that the only available room was a double-decker room at the rooftop and we are required to pay 1 night in advance to confirm the booking amounting to HKD 450. Since we are travelling with our 6yo son, a double-deck bed wouldn't be a good idea so I tried to search for other guesthouses nearby and found Yiu Fai Guesthouse. I checked the reviews and photos and it seemed good. I then contacted them trhough email and they replied promptly.
Only 18 days before our HK trip and we have yet to book a room. I received an email from Longson of Yiu Fai Guesthouse and said that they have a double room available HKD 400 per night and needed to pay HKD 400 to confirm through PayPal. Right on that day, I arranged the PayPal and received a confirmation email from them after about 20mins.
When we arrived at HKIA, we took the Airbus No. A21 and alighted at Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station, the 13th bus stop from the airport. We walk along Nathan Rd and found the landmark, Citi Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.
We arrived before 12nn and there were no rooms available yet. So we just stored our baggage there and had lunch at McDonald's. We came back at 1pm and our room was ready.
