Bag of Beans Athena, Tagaytay

This is yet another late post. I'm really good at late posts eh?. So this happened August last year for our 12th Anniversary. I remember my friends and I went for a Spa at 12mn. I informed hubby that we would be done by 2am. Hubby and son waited for me outside our favorite Spa patiently. Just when I thought that the boys were already sleepy, I jokingly asked hubby to drive straight to Tagaytay to catch the sun rise, and gosh he said yes! So there, we traveled to Tagaytay at 2am.

We arrived past 3am and just wandered where to stay. Since it's only 3 more hours left before sun rise, we decided to pass time inside the car and enjoy the starry skies. Our son really loved the idea and called it "Car Camping".

We stayed some more and waited for a nice restaurant to open for breakfast.


We settled to the then newly opened Bag of Beans Athena branch. The place was cozy and has a classic "Athenian" vibe. The chairs, tables and windows were simply painted in white completing the relaxing and breezy ambiance.

It was a fresh and fine day for a morning anniversary celebration. The breakfast made the celebration extra special.

Impromptu road trips like this are usually impossible. But the fact that it is unexpected, unplanned and super last minute make the moment even more exciting.
