Our home's final touches

In 2009 we decided to renovate our home from a bungalow to a 3 storey house. Actually this is my parent's property. My father acquired 2 lots in Taguig in 1979, 150 sqm and 200+sqm. My parents built a "kubo" little by little through a "paluwagan". Whenever they have few amount of money they made sure to put it on house construction. Our kubo became a decent home in 1990's plus few units of apartment. The 200+sqm-lot on the other hand became idle up until now with only a small house for rent.

Old house

Fast forward 2009 my sister decided to renovate our home due to frequent floodings in our area. She alloted 800k for a 3-storey-house. The construction took over 8 months to build, without final touches like paint and  finishing on some parts. The house is of course livable without paint, however seeing the house without color looks/feels dull, and because of some fund constraints, the house left unfinished for 3 years.

During construction
Last month, me and my sister handed my mom a small  amount of money for the house painting. Mom was so happy that she called a contractor right away. 12k for the labor and 15k for the materials. Though they only finsihed the 1st floor (65sqm, living room, kitchen, dining, T&B, 1 room, facade), we are definitely happy with the result. Our house looks brighter now plus our parents are really happy with it. :)

Our newly painted house, not yet finish though., need to save for the 2nd floor final touches.. :)
