Home Owner Diary: Christmas Lantern

Hooray for November! Christmas is fast approaching yes! Yay for my favorite season of the year!

Since I couldn't contain my excitement, we started to put up our Christmas decors last month even if we usually start our decoration after Halloween. This Christmas is very special to us because this will be our first Christmas in our very own home. So, after my birthday, we went to Las Pinas right away to check out some colorful lanterns.

Las Pinas is known for their "Parol-Making" Tradition. You would see bright and colorful lights as early as September. As some would say "Christmas starts on September in Las Pinas". True indeed, you can shop for Parols four months before the big day.

Lights and Colors make Merry Christmas

Here in LP you can choose from colored plastic materials to fiber glass to capiz to LED lights depending on your budget. You can also bring your old Parols to trade-in with a new one. Too bad my mom didn't bring our old Parol (which we also bought from LP in 2009), so we also bought one for her.

Quick drive to LP with the gang.

Price starts at Php 700 to Php 2000 for the Parols and Php 2500 to Php 5000 for the LED lights.

So after checking some stores we decided to buy 2- large Parols for only Php 1700. Smart haggling is a friend. So here is Hubby placing our lovely Parol on the window.

It's officially Christmas!

Here is our Parol, welcoming the passersby and saying Merry Christmas to all.

Christmas brings hope as Jesus died for us so we could live in victory.

So guys if you want to have a beautiful Parol that fits your budget, visit Las Pinas now. Prices might increase later.

Advance Merry Christmas everyone!
