Here is my review on our Sinagpore Trip.
Accomadation:
Fragarance Hotel Crystal
I booked it for only USD51/day in asiatravel.com, super ok ng room pati ng area very accessible and convenient going around Singapore I didnt expect much from this hotel kasi as what I read mejo negative ang dating sa Geyalang. But to my surprise, ang ganda ng Hotel at ang daming kainan around Geylang. Daming convenient stores dito and nakakbili kami ng bottled water sa Geylang area for only 0.80, sa ibang stores $2 na yun pero sa binibilhan namin ni hubby mura lang pati mga snacks.
Fragrance Hotel for me is highly recomended for those travelling with the family. Nice room, nice T&B with hot water, ni rerefil din nila yung mga stocks sa room like water and tissue everyday. Akala ko nga masikip ang room, pero to my surprise ok ang floor area nya. Nice din ng mga staff dun very accomodating and helpful. You can also ask the reception to get a taxi for you.
Nung una plan namin mag home stay, we tried to compare nga with this hotel at mas malaki mtitipid namin plus convenience na din. Super nagustuhan ko tlaga yung accomodation namin, value for money talaga.
Transportation:
Taxi
We used taxi most of the time. From the Hotel to Marina Park nasa SGD 10 lang sya, surcharges included na din. By the way ang taxi sa SG iba iba ng flag down rate, additioanal info lang, baka nasabi na din dati, 2.80 pag old toyota corona taxi, pag hyundai sonata at new cars nasa 3.00, pag chrysler, Benz nasa 4.00 tapos iba iba din ang patak ng metro nyan depende sa taxi. Pag umuulan, traffik, rush hour, late night,. may surcharges ang taxi. Pwede madouble ang actual bill nyo dahil sa surcharges. :) pero no worries pwede gunmamit ng credit card to pay. cool no.. :)
Tapos ang kinatuwa ko pa sa mga taxi doon e may GPS sila. Namangha ako kasi may Map, parang sa states ang galing.. wala lang naignorante lang po.. :)
Nga pla, mga taxi drivers sa SG e ang babait ang veri informative. Wala din language barrier kasi they can speak english. Magaling magaling.. :)
MRT
We used MRT to Night Safari. Sabi sa gothere.sg alight to Ang Mo Kio Station and take a bus. Sabi ni manong driver, alight to Kranji station instead, mas mabilis. Kasi daw sa Ang mo kio, malayo pa daw ang Night safari dun at mattrafik p adaw dun. Ayun nga ang bilis lang pag Kranji bumaba, from there take another taxi to night safari, 10-15mins lang andun ka na.
Additional info din, pwede ka mag ka refund ng SGD 1.00 pag binalik mo yung ticket sa machine. Ang galing.. :)
Bus
Di ako nag take ng bus dun, pero si Hubby at baby ko nag double decker bus. Nag enjoy naman sila. Pero kakain sya ng oras nyo kasi mag sstop sya sa lahat ng bus stops. If you have limited days to roam around at gusto nyo puntahan lahat, i suggest na mag taxi na lang kayo, less hassle pa sa transfers.
Food:
Since di masyadong interesado si hubby sa asian cuisine, nag burger kami the whole vacation.
Wendy's
Upsized na fries and drink, malaking burger + nuggets nasa 14.00 lang pero super upsized na yun. Burp*
McDonald's
Upsised drink, fries, 6 pcs chicken wings, MegaBig Mac nasa 14.00 din pero mas malaki ang fries and drink ng Wendy's..
Burger King
Mahal. naka 20.00 kami for lunch ouch.. Pero sobrang dami na at umabot pa ng breakfast.. ^^
KFC
5 bucks, pero set na sya. Big chicken, fries and drink. :)
Nag China town din kami., 11.00 2 cups of rice, siomai, pork with black beans, egg tart, naicha.. sarrrraaappp...
